The Chateau du Basty is a human size estate runned by the same family since 1482.

Now handled by the 17th generation, 90% of the domain is certified organic.

Our grape varieties Gamay and Chardonnay are grown on granite slopes facing south.

We look for the best expression of terroirs and vintages, to have a good balance between finesse, body and minerality.

We want to offer wines that are not just elegant, but that create an emotional experience for those enjoying them.

The genesis of Terroirs et Talents is above all a story of friendship and the meeting between two men: Hervé Dupond and Xavier Barbet.

The Dupond and Barbet families have been present respectively since 1580 and 1711 in Beaujolais. Today Terroirs et Talents is an association of several family estates located between Beaujolais and Mâconnais.

Each Estate keeps its label and its identity and Terroirs et Talents markets the wines of each entity.

The different estates have the same goals: assiduous work in the vines and soils, vineyard management that respects the environment, enhancement of the climates.

The wines are aged by plot before blending, the harvest is manual, the vinification is respectful of the grapes and the work is tailor-made each year depending on the vintage.
