Discover the presentation of the winegrower
The Domaine Sauger is a family estate since 1870; their 38 Ha are located in the Cheverny appellation, few kilometers from the most famous castles of the Loire valley.
The terroir is made up of rather thin soils (factor of quality) with sandy and clay characters, but also with siliceous soils.
This diversity, allied to various quality grape variety, allows us elaborating wines with multiple flavors.
The planting of the domain is composed of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for 60% of the vineyard. Although practicing a traditional winemaking, Philippe Sauger likes innovating in the elaboration of his wines, in a permanent research of quality.
